    8:30am – 10am
    Bridlington Town Football Club | Queensgate | Bridlington | YO16 7LN

Tea, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches will be served on arrival.

The Bridlington Town Business Breakfast event, to be held on Thursday 21st November, aims to inform local businesses of the benefits of recruiting people with additional needs and disabilities, and provide information on the support available for employees and employers, such as Access to Work.

Project DANDI (Diversity and Inclusion) supports local people with special needs and disabilities living in Bridlington and the surrounding areas. Our supported volunteering and work-based learning programme is held at Bridlington Town Football Club, helping adults to experience a wide range of real-life working opportunities, and developing a variety of skills required in the workplace.

During the event you will then hear from Disability Employment Advisors from the DWP on the benefits of being a disability confident employer.

You will also learn about corporate and sponsorship opportunities at the football club and see our fantastic Project DANDI team in action!

Please RSVP to Elliot Hakner info@abilite.uk by Monday 18th November.

For more information and to refer to Project DANDI please contact us on 07813131561 or email info@abilite.uk

    CASE STUDIES

    Volunteering – Francesca Bacon

Francesca has started volunteering at Bridlington Town Football Club during the DANDI Social Club, serving hot and cold drinks, helping to prepare and serve food, and setting up activities for people with special needs and disabilities.

Over the next 3 months Francesca will be supported to develop a new CV and gain further training and work experience opportunities.

“The volunteering has boosted Francesca’s confidence in helping others. Her self-esteem has improved, and she is now more confident in other areas of her life and overcoming the challenges she faces on a daily basis” (Parent)

    Work Experience – Alexander Squires

Alexander just loves his work experience placement at Bridlington Town Football Club. He’s developing customer service and hospitality skills which he has learned when working behind the bar, dispensing drinks, and chatting to customers whilst enjoying their Sporting Memories session.

“His self-confidence and sense of achievement are so much improved, and he really has a sense of worth which benefits him greatly. It’s also good for the customers too who see the positive side of providing opportunities for people with disabilities who otherwise might not be able to access these work-related activities.” (Parent)
